WE ARE PMP
a theatre program for young people ages 13–19 who have stories to share and things to say.
Groups meet once a week from October-April in Pittsfield or North Adams. Experienced mentors guide each group to develop and perform an original play based on stories and experiences from your life. This is a place to be authentically YOU.
PMP is a program that creates a brave and welcoming space where you can share important ideas and generate exciting theatre that will be performed for your peers.
No prior theatre experience is required- there are no auditions, just sign up and show up. Upon completion of the program participants are paid a stipend of $200.

HOW WE WORK
“It’s nice to be in such a supportive atmosphere where I don’t have to be afraid to say what I think or feel… to be somewhere where I can just be honest and be who I am.”
- Samantha, PMP participant
"On one day we all wrote things- monologues, scenes, songs. Everyone’s work was just so powerful, touching, and sometimes painfully relatable. It was the pure humanity that everyone projected onto their writing that made me feel good, because I felt like I wasn’t alone. When people are honest and share their truth as we often do in PMP, we can really help each other learn and grow, and I’m positive that that’s what we’ve done."
- Brooke, PMP Participant
